Tekto Swift -The Best Knife I Have Ever Owned!

I work for a “smaller” bedroom community, about 30-ish miles north of Detroit. Being in law enforcement in this day and age, has become a difficult thing. I carry my Tekto Swift hanging from my right uniform pocket by its pocket clip. The Tekto Swift is a little heavy, with an open and close thumb switch that is a little stiff. I would have been disappointed if nether of these were true. The Tekto Swift has a window breaker on it, and the slightly heave knife will help shatter auto glass any day, easily! My Tekto Swift is a 9.5” tanto bladed stiletto (OTF) knife. My last knife was the same style, but no where as nice. My last knife was a no name at about half the price, and the blade literally rattled inside the handle space. As practice, for some of the “clearing techniques” we use in law enforcement on alarms and open door building searches, my old knife’s rattle gave me away every time. Also, I could never quite get that old low carbon blade quite sharp enough. I like to be able to shave the hair off of my arm when I am done sharpening, and I am my department’s resident blade sharpener. I sharpen knives and swords regularly, (mostly knives). My new Tekto Swift came sharp, to my standards! To say the least, I was impressed. I have been looking at the Tekto Swift for some time now, and two weeks ago most of the Tekto knives were on sale. I jumped at the chance. Mostly because I was “sick” of my old knife’s rattle. In this ever dangerous world, I knew I would be buying a new…

Best purchase!

My existing employer gave us a budget to buy work tools, I used it to buy a swift. They probably don't agree, but I think it was a good purchase :))) I work at food warehouse and have to open up boxes all night long so its ready for the next morning. Swift is like my little helper, it ejects every single time and its easy to carry due to the pocket clip. The color has worn ogf a little but it gives the knife character. Love the swift and highly recommend it.

Nice knife, way too heavy.

Weight of this knife is way too heavy to carry on a regular basis. I haven’t used it much and for a knife this expensive it’s finding more drawer time and less pocket time, wish I knew this prior to purchase.

Tekto Knives

Hi Ruckman, thank you for the feedback. We are working on reducing the weight and should have a much lighter knife in the next month or so!

Fishing is life

I have a decent collection of knives. I carry the Swift in my innrer right coat pocket. Easy to access, easy to deploy for when trouble arises. Just kidding, I use it during my many fishing trips.

Swift prevails

I was stuck between this and the Rapid. I got both and returned the Rapid. The knife is superb, I didnt find use for the serrated blade. They both seemed of excellent quality.
